Fisher - Ballpoint Pen - Space Pen - Bullet - Chrome (Clip)
Designed by Paul Fisher for the first manned Apollo mission in 1968, the Fisher Space Pen writes in zero gravity, underwater, at any angle including upside down, and in extreme temperatures.
The body is all brass with a chrome finish and matching clip. When closed, the Space Pen is pocket-sized; when open, it is a full-sized, evenly balanced writing instrument. Made in the USA with a lifetime promise against manufacturing defects. Comes in a Moonscape Gift Box with Astronaut Sleeve and includes a black medium ink cartridge. Replacement cartridges are available separately.
The refills are hermetically sealed, pressurised with nitrogen gas, and feature a tungsten carbide ballpoint tip. Fisher ink is a gel – thicker than liquid, similar in consistency to toothpaste – that only flows when pressure is applied to the ballpoint.
