The Sailor ProGear Realo in Black deserves to be a true classic of the fountain pen world. Just about every premium fountain pen brand has at some point released a black and gold fountain pen but, with its anchor emblazoned flat-top design and gold-edged ink window, none look quite like the ProGear Realo.
First introduced in 2006 as very limited edition of only 600 pieces, the Realo is Sailor’s one and only piston-filling fountain pen. With an ink window visible even when the pen cap is closed, the Realo allows one a moment’s notice glance at their ink level. Fitted with Sailor’s cult-favourite 21k Gold nib, the Realo is a real undersung of the modern fountain pen world.
